Its Mr.Siddanagouda S Birada...Dear K Srinivasan Sir
Its Mr.Siddanagouda S Biradar writing from China.
Excellent conversation with Dr K C Chakrabarty, Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank regarding the education loan scheme. Thanks for it
The problem still persist at grass root level. keeping me as an example, i would like to share few views:
I got education loan of around 2.5 lakhs for my B.Sc(Agri) and M.Sc Agri(Plant Biotec). I dont want to reveal the Branch name and manager since i am kind enough to bank, otherwise it was not possible for me to continue my education. I feel glad to convey you that I bagged GOLD MEDAL for my Undergraduate degree, the credit of my success goes to Bank only.
I gave collateral security for 2.5 lakh rs even though i have some land on my name. Morever i struggled very hard for 1 year to get loan. I paid interest for every 3 months at rate of 10.5% while studying itself. What's meaning in getting loan and paying interest for every 3 months. Morever the repayment period is started and i am regularly paying the installments. But Now the rate of interest is 15%(Instead of 10.5%). Why is it so?

Many of the common people's concern is that Education loan is provided to students from Rich family because of Political influence of local leaders, true poor student is away from it. what's the RBI concern to overcome such problems.

regards

Siddanagouda.S.Biradar
PhD Scholar, NWSUAF, Shaanxi China
Email: siddureddy2988@yahoo.com
Cell: 0086-15249220150Dr Siddanagouda S Biradar, PhD Scholar Chinanoreply@blogger.com
